President’s Message

Hello SLA Members, and Happy April!

Spring is in full swing, and April is jam-packed with fun things to do. First and foremost on my list is good old-fashioned spring cleaning. Luckily, I already enjoy cleaning – call me weird, but cleaning to me is therapeutic as well as gratifying– so deep cleaning the entire house will be a breeze with a side of stress release. I also take this time to go through my closet and sift through outfits that I have not worn in some time while utilizing the quickdraw declutter rule: Yes or No within 3 seconds. Whatever I don’t keep, I donate. It works. Try it out!

Spring is also a good time to spruce up the yard. Whether it’s getting rid of dead leaves and fallen branches, planting new flowers, or fixing the driveway, if it all doesn’t get done in one day, it’s ok! Enjoy just being outside in the sun and with nature – either with friends and family or by yourself. Take a deep breath, be calm, and watch a squirrel do squirrel things. (Of course, those who are allergic to pollen, grass, trees, etc. be cautious). We can finally get out without freezing our behinds off! This April I encourage everyone to take a stroll outside and relax, at least once or twice a week, it’ll do your body and mind good.

See everyone at Chateau Elan for the golf outing and then in May for the luncheon!

Your President,

Brooke Hill
